Read-only, free evaluation. Use a client with OAuth support and sign in through OpenAI when prompted. No SpecJoin API key is needed. The regular evaluation API can be used without this sign-in.
Available tools
search_products- Search reviewed computers, docks, monitors, chargers, cables and adapters by model or manufacturer part number. Search does not establish compatibility. Use resolve_product for exact identity and optional-port ambiguity.
resolve_product- Resolve a model or manufacturer part number. Retain ambiguous results: ask for the exact configuration rather than selecting the first candidate. IDs are SpecJoin identifiers, not retailer SKUs.
get_product- Read one covered product with its manufacturer, model, part numbers, ports and source references. A covered product is not automatically compatible with another covered product.
get_accessories- Read charger, monitor or dock compatibility for an exact computer. Optionally check one accessory. Preserve all status, requirements and source fields. Follow next_offset for more pages; these are not retailer stock recommendations.
check_dock- Check an exact computer/dock pair. Returns separate screen and charging findings, documented screen examples, required cables, supplies, software and source evidence. Does not certify Ethernet, audio or all USB peripherals. Screen examples are not an exhaustive maximum.

Interpret the result
structuredContent.data contains the REST response. Unknown is not unsupported; conditional results need the listed requirements. Tool success does not mean compatible.
Match exact manufacturer and model/part numbers to your own products. SpecJoin IDs are not universal SKUs. No prices, stock or memory/storage upgrade matching.
Evaluation has temporary request limits, not guaranteed production availability. Send only product IDs and hardware requirements. For production integration, use the paid REST API or periodic downloads.
